Once upon a time in a beautiful forest lived a little mouse, he was a sweet little mouse, and a very funny little mouse...but he was also a curious little mouse...one morning, as the sun peaked in thru his curtains, and lit up his room with a warm morning glow  the little mouse was excited to begin another day, he jumped out of his little bed and looked outside...and to his surprise he saw something he hadn't seen in a very long time...Snowflakes! Yes, a white blanket of fluffy snow had covered the forest, it must have snowed all night long...He quickly put on his warmest sweater, a blue pair of pants and his fuzzy socks, he ran down the stairs excited to go and play in the snow. Even before he reached the bottom step, the doorbell rang...it was his 2 friends Sally the squirrel, and Tommy the turtle..."Haxley, Haxley...have you seen all the snow, let’s get out there and build a snowman!!" Sally said, as she put a wool hat on his head..."And a snowball fight!" Said Tommy...The three of them rushed out the door, and made their way to a wide clearing in the snowy forest...First they decided to make a snowman, they rolled a bigggg ball of snow, then a second snowball, just a bit smaller...then a third for the head...they lifted the medium sized snowball to place it on the bottom one...but it was too heavy...hmmm how will we get it up there they wondered. Sally the squirrel looked around and saw some branches that were on the ground near the big oak tree..."Hey I have an idea, let’s make a ramp out of these branches, and roll up onto the bottom snowball!"..."Great idea!" Haxley exclaimed...once the second snowball was placed on the bottom one, it was time to put the smaller one on the top...this should be easy...the third snowball was much smaller and easy for Tommy the turtle to lift...but.. Ah Ohhh...Tommy was too short to place the snowman's head on top. He tried to hop up (but everyone knows turtles can’t hop) as Haxley, and Sally giggled...hehehhe...the turtles legs were just too short, and he looked funny trying! "Hey I have an idea Tommy, why don't I stand on your back and put the snowball on top?" asked Sally. She took the snowball from the turtle...stepped on his back, and reached upppp to place the snowball to complete the snowman...but the turtles shell was slippery...and she slid, and slipped, and tried to keep her balance...but the snowball was making it hard to stay in place, and kabooom! she fell off  Tommy's shell, the snowball broke, and covered them both with snow...Haxley was laughing so hard at the two of them...Hehehhehe...Sally, and Tommy looked at each other with squinty eyes...and started throwing snowballs at Haxley..."SNOWBALL FIGHT" Sally yelled...as they ran, and hid behind trees, and threw snowballs at each other...after the snowball fight they came back over to the half made snowman.."What should we do with him?" Asked Haxley..."I have an idea!" exclaimed Sally..."Ohhhh not another idea!!" Tommy groaned..."No No Tommy you will like this one...Instead of making him a snowman.... let’s make him a Snow Turtle...this way we won’t need a third snowball for the head!..." Tommy & Haxley smiled, they loved the idea...they stuck two acorns for eyes, and twigs for hands, and a hat on the snow turtles head..."Yeahieee its perfect...it looks just like you!" Haxley teased...Just then they saw Old Grandma Owl..With three mugs of steaming hot chocolate..."Hi kids, looks like you could use some warming up, my what a handsome snow turtle you made!" She said, as she handed them the hot mugs..."Thanks they exclaimed in unison & giggled" after finishing the hot chocolate the tree of them walked home together, and talked, and laughed about the fun afternoon they shared..."What will we do tomorrow?" Haxley asked..."I have an idea...Tobogganing!!" Sally said with a big smile!!!!
